Idaho's Ballot Initiative Process: A Community Forum

  • Harding Family Center 411 North 15th Street Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, 83814 United States (map)

Join DART and the League of Women Voters of Kootenai County for a community forum on Idaho’s ballot initiative process, its history, and how a proposed constitutional amendment on the November ballot could affect Idahoans’ ability to propose laws in the future.

The forum will take place October 19 at 5:30 p.m. at the Harding Family Center in Coeur d’Alene. Presenters include Dr. David Adler, constitutional scholar and president of the Alturas Institute, and Luke Mayville, co-founder and executive director of Reclaim Idaho.

Learn about the history and impact of ballot initiatives in Idaho and explore the potential implications of House Joint Resolution 4, which would give the Legislature exclusive authority to legalize marijuana and other psychoactive substances, limiting citizens’ ability to use ballot initiatives for that purpose.
