Join the League of Women Voters Moscow for a Speaker Series presentation: The History and Future of America's Public Lands presented by Walt Dabney on Wed., March 11 at 7 p.m. in the 1912 Center Lecompte Auditorium.

This presentation will tell the story of the acquisition of our public lands, the decisions made throughout our history that resulted in special designations, privatization of some of the lands, establishment of states, legal issues and the threats today to lose these lands out of public ownership.

Dabney spent 43 years working in National and Texas State Parks and continues to teach a variety of classes to various groups and university classes. The presentation of The History and Future of America's Public Land is in its 9th year and has been presented numerous times and in over a dozen states.
