Need Help Getting an ID to Vote? We Can Help.

Idaho now requires identification to register to vote — and laws passed in 2023 have made getting that ID more complicated than ever. The League of Women Voters of Idaho has partnered with VoteRiders, the country's leading nonpartisan nonprofit focused on voter ID, to help remove that barrier for Idahoans.

Together, we help eligible voters:

  • Get free one-on-one help figuring out exactly which documents they need

  • Collect the underlying documents — birth certificate, Social Security card, proof of residency — needed to get a state ID or driver's license

  • Cover the cost of obtaining those documents

  • Connect with the Idaho DMV to get a voter ID card issued

We never endorse or oppose political parties or candidates. Our only goal is making sure every eligible Idahoan can exercise their right to vote.
